Directions to Kenai River State Park Dock:
From Anchorage - Take the New Seward HWY South on Route 1 - Drive 150 miles south, which is a total Three hours drive from Anchorage to Soldotna. Drive through Soldotna on the Sterling Highway. Cross the Kenai River bridge.
You will come to a stoplight, which will say Kalifornsky or K-Beach Road. Take a right turn and drive for about 4.5 miles. Look for our (King of the River) big blue highway sign.
Take a right on Ciechanski Road. Drive for about 2.5 more miles and follow 3 more blue signs. Next you will see a Alaska State Park sign (Kenai River Special Management Area, Ciechanski Day Use Area) on the right side. Take a right on to River Quest Subdivision immediately after you see the state park sign.
Please do not enter private property of River Quest Subdivision located on the left side of the road. Please park on Ciechanski State Recreation Site parking lot on right side where you see a white sign “Day – Use Parking 12 hour limit No Camping Allowed” to park. A king of the River boat will be waiting at the state park dock to greet you.
Please note: Once you park, continue down to the river and follow the walk way to your right. King of the River uses the the State Park dock, which is about 25 yards above the private dock. To get there please follow a short boardwalk on right side to the ramp and the dock. The site offers a nice picnic table and provides outhouse.

Directions to Kasilof Launch Site:
From Achorage - Take the New Seward HWY South on Route 1 - Drive approximately 150 miles south, which is a total 2.5 to 3 hours drive from Anchorage to Soldotna.
Drive through Soldotna on the Sterling Highway. Cross the Kenai River Bridge. Do not turn right on Kalifornsky Beach Road or left on Funny River Road to the stoplight. Drive continually on the same road on Sterling highway about 12.5 more miles (where you are heading to Homer) until you see the Kasilof bridge then turn left immediately right after the bridge.
