Directions to Kenai River State Park Dock:
From Anchorage – Take the New Seward HWY South on Route 1 – Drive 150 miles south, which is a total Three hours drive from Anchorage to Soldotna. Drive through Soldotna on the Sterling Highway.
When you arrive in Soldotna, continue down until you cross the Kenai River bridge (Soldotna’s bridge). You will come to a stoplight, which will say Kalifornsky Beach Road or K-Beach Road. Take a right turn and drive for about 4.5 miles.
Take a right on Ciechanski Road. Drive for about 2.5 more miles and follow. Next you will see an Alaska State Park sign (Kenai River Special Management Area, Ciechanski Day Use Area) on the right side, please continue approximately 75 yards, and take a right on to GUY NASH STREET where you see an oversize wood gate structure of two eagles status on top of wood posts with display of “River Quest” immediately.
Please do not turn left on Davison Ave from Guy Nash Street. It is a private property of River Quest Subdivision located on the left side of the road. RIGHT SIDE IS A STATE PARK PROPERTY!! Please park on right side where you see Ciechanski State Recreation Site parking lot AND a white sign “Day – Use Parking 12 hour limit No Camping Allowed” to park on RIGHT SIDE. A king of the River boat will be waiting at the State Park dock to greet you.
Please note: Once you park, continue down to the river and follow the walk way to your right. King of the River uses the State Park dock, which is about 25 yards above the Riverquest private dock. To get there please follow a SHORT BOARDWALK on right side to the ramp and the dock. The site offers a picnic table and provides outhouses. You will see a river boat with King of the River decal/sign.
